I felt very connected with other men; no pretenses.  I discovered a different form of spiritual practice. I would recommended this retreat to anyone who wants to explore a new practice.

— John - Dallas, TX

When I try to put in words the experience we shared, “extraordinary” doesn't even come close to describe my experience. Since I've been home and back to work, friends I've had for decades and family I've had my whole life have noticed and commented on how centered and grounded I've become once again.

— Doug, Upstate New York

The retreat transformed the way I thought about and experienced my sexuality. It gave me a place to experience my sexuality in a way that revealed to me how crucial it is to my spiritual life and practice. To share all of this in the company of my brothers was truly a blessing.

— Robert Mitchell, Fremont, CA

I was looking for a structured summer retreat in a country setting, for discussion and interaction with other like-minded men around Sexuality and Spirituality. David and Frank created a safe, loving, fun place where long-lasting friendships and many self-discoveries were made. I can't wait to return!

A Workshop for Gay Men

For the first time on the West Coast, Saratoga Springs is pleased to host Honoring our Bodies, Feeding Our Souls - a workshop by long time Queer spiritual and academic leaders, Frank Dunn and David Townsend.  This juicy workshop creates a container for our unique spiritual, physical and erotic selves to dance and thrive together.

Together we’ll…

  • build a sacred community
  • open up to one another in heart circles
  • explore the places in our lives where sex and spirit meet
  • create personal shrines and spiritual practices
  • celebrate eros in nature and in communal ritual
  • relax with each other
  • swap stories
  • weave a brotherhood of playful abandon and deep intention

Image of man having shirt taken off by twoWhat happens in sacred space where you’re safe to come forward and give voice to the deepest longings of your body, mind, and soul?

What does a community of brothers look like who commit to holding that space for each other?

What spiritual practice will you be called to create for yourself as an expression of the fullness of life within you?

What rituals will you help build to hold the spiritual and erotic joys, sorrows, aspirations, and hopes of all?

What are the deepest desires of your heart and soul?

Our Promises . . .

  • a safe, welcoming group
  • total respect for you, your values, your commitments
  • free time for reflection, rest and play
  • simple, delicious meals
  • fun, laughter, and joy!
